Is there any way I can hook up a Korg ES-1 or another box to the 2000xl, where ld be able to use the ES1's effects and have the ES1 sounds be played in the MPC and triggered by the MPC?

Any type of input would be appreciated. I'm basically trynna use the 2000xl lBleton Live and the only thing its missing are the damn effects. I would love to be ablem to use my ES1's effects and sounds on the MPC in real time, if thats even possible. thank you.

Midi them together, audio output comes out of ES-1 while the mpc handles the triggering of sound via midi. ES-1 can still manage it's own effects.

theres no way that the MPC can record patterns or individual sounds off of the ES1 for editing or playback in the sequencer?

Clarify: are u saying u have sequences recorded in the Korg, and want to re-record those into an MPC for playback? If so:
Yeah, like he said, just midi them up, set your corresponding channels (check your Korg manual for midi output channels) make a midi track, and then hit record on the MPC and hit play on your korg. You will have to check the Korg specs to see if it generates the note on/off messeges, etc, thru the midi out upon playback.

If your saying us just wanna use the MPC as the main sequencer, it's even easier than that, and you can use either the MPC or the Korg to trigger either machine's samples during sequencing. You can take it from there as it's straitforward midi protocol.
