Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hay yawl I gotta a scsi zip drive, but when I TRY TO LOAD STUFF FROM A DISK IT EITHER GIVES ME A "SCSI CONFLICT ON #6" ERROR MESSAGE OR IT WLL SAY WAIT FOR A LONG TIME THEN NUTHING WOULD HAPPEN, EVEN AFTER I KEPT SWITCHING TO DIFFERENT SCSI DEVICES ON THE MPC, NUTHING JUST A LONG WAIT THEN NUTHING?

You have to set the SCSI ZIP ID # to something other than 6. SCSI ID #6 is the mpc default for itself. Use another number. It tells you that in the 2kxl manual. Don't make me slap you with the page number 8) 8)

YO LAMP NOW IM GETTING WORRIED, I TRIED SWITCHING THE ID NUMBER TO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE, AND STILL THE SAME RESULTS. I HAVE BEEN GETTING THIS "SCSI 6 ERROR" FOR A WHILE THOUGH. COULD IT BE THA DRIVE OR THE CABLE?

Put the zip on 5 and switch the cable to the other side of the unit.........unplug the zip drive and turn the mp off when you flip it

yeah..... turn on termination and move the scsi id to 5 or 6. I had the same problem last week, turns out to be the termination switched off.
