I am upgrading my MPC 2000 XL to the MCD. And I wanted to get more cards from the start. I have some programs already and want to move them over. I wanted to know if anyone has seen or know of any limits to the size card the MPC can read.

Can I go 1GB, 2GB or even 4GB.

As well has anyone every use the CF Micro Drives (IBM) with the MPC? I found a good deal on some, and wanted to know if the MPC can read them before I buy.

I don't know about the CF Micro Drive but I would recommend the Compact Flash cards with 512 MB capacity.I think the biggest you can use is 2 GB (found this information on this forum ;) ),but I never tried more then 512.I suppose that 2 GB card would require partitioning before use in the mpc.

Finally i got my card reader installed(2kxl), i got two SDcard , one from 1GB and one of 2GB, both doesn't work.
I tried both on os 1.14 and 1.20.
I use compact flash of 8mb and 128mb and it's mad fast.

I have an internal multi card reader, never had good luck with sd cards. I use 2 x 512mb lexar cf cards, OS 1.14, I have no problems.

There are a million and posts on this, so if you search you'll find alot of info, purchase, installation, old and new os details. "pt3r" has posted ALOT about it.
