Cheap Card Readers!!!

that compu apps card reader never worked no matter how many times i installed it or what OS i used didnt do nothing! if some one got one to work let me know but i had no luck what so ever!

I heard from another member that the same model did not work for them. I am not sure about the CF only version though. If I could have done it again, I would have just gone with one of the sure thing readers that are posted over and over to be working. They cost a bit more, but it ended up costing me even more since I have a cheaper worthless one too. I'd plug it into a computer if all the IDE ports weren't taken up, doh!

I tried it mainly because they offered it in black and the other models did not have that.

I got my card reader from VSTelectronics, it was expensive but came with all the cables i needed to to upgrade from a floppy drive. they even set the jumpers on the drive to work with the 2000xl, not hard I know but was nice. Install was easy, worked the first time. Included 512mb CF card w/ some generic sound in the price.

NewsFlash....

Addonics does not make the IDE/ATAPI compatible card reader anymore.

I was about to suggest they make good drives, but don't get one - it won't work.

well hell i really was about to cop one of those here within the next couple dayz. so niether one of these will work or am i wrong?
