Hey all,

Just a quick newbie quesiton...I'm using the 2000XL and was wondering how people manage their drum sounds - do you make programs with every sound and load as many as you can, so you can browse them? Or do you load programs of known kits as starting points? And how do you keep your folders? Should I combine all my libraries into one and make a .APS for them all?

I could'nt find any specific suggestions anywhere - it would be greatly appreaciated, to send me off on my way to making music with the MPC.

in advance thnx

I use Editor to build programs and then I load and arrange my programs each time I produce.

Think about it, 256 sounds at one time is more than enough.

You could just use 4 programs all the time or 3 for beats, and if you chop up a sound you can leave a free slot open for that program and then save it and load it for that particular song with the drums on the other 3 programs.
