When syncing to Cubase.........

Ive got my MPC 2000 syncd to Cubase, i press play on the MPC and the sequencer in cubase plays (all is gud) but i cant get it to record. If i press play and record on the MPC, cubase just plays the song the sequencer doesnt record. I perfare for the MPC to send the midi sync because its cubase le (i dont know if that makes a difference, but it is really hard to get the play button pressed the same etime as the record button cus i dont think that there is an automated way of doing it. I just want the recordings bang on time, ne whos, to cut a long sttory short has any 1 sucsesfuly done this. Ne help appreciated.

i thought you wanted cubase to control the mpc. so you can press record in Cubase and the mpc will start playing. Thats how I used to have it setup. Maybe try computer midi out to mpc midi in?

No i wanted to use the MPC to trigger it, i dont mind really if i can get cubase to work right. For example for those that have used Reason, if you press record, it lights up and stays there and starts recording as soon as you hit play. With cubase that doesnt happen, when i press play it just plays and its impossible to hit the twi buttons at the same time. Its Cubase Le if that helps. Id really appreciate ne help.

How do you sync Cubase to the MPC so that when you press record in Cubase, the mpc starts playing?

Crap, figured out how to control the mpc through Cubase, but cannot get it to record the audio...
