1/16(3) i think are fully swung (75%) 1/16 notes. in my limited experience i would stongly suggest against using that setting of quantisation. it just never sounds right w/ any kind of note repeat/drum fill or quantise for your drums. try it for yourself and see i guess, personally i never ever use the 1/8(3), 1/16(3), etc. peace.

16x3 ? 48, so you end up with 1/48. If I'm wrong someone please help me out. Muchas gracias mi amigo/amigas.

depends on the style...dubbier styles make use of triplets and swung notes mixed together...normally these styles are much slower so there is more room for it to move.....

Actually that's a good idea, using the note repeat at the quantize settings you choose in ordder to hear the possible taps that can be set/made. I've done it before I just didn't think of sayin it. You know to hear what it sounds like.

the (3) means triplets... It kinda gives the quantizing a kind of swing feel... In music 1/16(3) would basically mean that every three sixteenth notes are equally spaced out... Their duration and the space in between are exactly equal... giving the music a sort of exact almost robotic feel... In drum programming it creates a sort of cadenced swing feel to the beat... In fact, I use 1/16(3) or 1/32(3) to program cadenced drum lines on my MPC... I hope this helped
