do you ever feel that you need more than 16 chops?

you ever want more than just 16 pieces to chop? ever get mad that you find another ill thing on the record you want, but you cant use it? something thats kinda bugging me about the 2000/xl

if you need more than 16 chops you could just sample another part of a record and chop it again, chop it again, .....

I don't find any limitations on this field with my mpc,except the memory of course

go on and sample it all!!

hell yea. man you got four banks to work with. use them joints. especially if you got the xl! you can have more then one program playing at a time! the 2000 dont got it like that. so i gotta sorta "budget" my pads lol. i am a little limited with how many chops i have on the pads because i still need room for drums. but you got it good man. keep sampling

example:
you got a 4bar loop and you want to chop it in 32 part.
cut your loop in half so you get 2 loops of 2 bars.
then you can zone it.

Just cause the "feature" is not there doesn't mean you can't do it with some imagination.

Unfortunately it happens often, people relying on features more than their imagination, I could say "brain" but that would sound harsh and I'm not trying to be harsh even though that IS the reality of it in some cases...

i rarely use more than 16.

to me thats more than enough. its impossible to play my chops if they are more than 16

if you neede more then 16 how much are you sampling thats to much IMHO.


but yeah sasmple another pieece and chop it.


have you used the create a program function ? that give you a sampled chopped all across the pads. so you can play like a KB.
