Tempo change in song mode

I hope someone can help....

Ive been palyig around with the tempo change function on the 2000xl and it works fine when I play back a sequence that i have put tempo changes in.

But, when I play this sequence back in song mode the sequence does'nt speed up accordingly...

Ive tried OPEN WINDOW on the tempo in song mode and set it so that the tempo change should take effect but nothing happens...?

*Looking at the manual it shows that ignoring the tempo changes (OPEN WINDOW) in song mode gives an option of YES or NO whereas my MPC gives the option of ON or OFF*

Is the tempo problem in song mode an OS issue i.e. a bug? - please help me I'm stuck!

yeah just dont play the beat in song mode.

i'm not sure but if you go to convert to song in SONG MODE it ask you if you want the tempo change. i think you have to go to the convert a song function in there, if i'm not mistaken.

i have seen this but i can't remeber where i was at . let me know if that works

i thought tempo change was for midi tho? i may be wrong

try if this works, go to song mode, highlight whatever bpm it says under tempo and hit open window, change it to off. oh wait you already know that.. maybe you kept it on ON when it should be on OFF?
