I'm using my mpc 20000xl hooked up to my s-900 with midi cables in the hand shake method, but when i trigger sounds out of my 900 with my 2000 it dosn't play the full length of the sample. It will only play the sample for however long i strike the pad???? anyone help?

Don't even bother trying to use it like that. With the 900 being so old, it just doesn't function with midi really well anymore. ANY time I try to use midi, it just locks up.

thanks, but i want my 8 outputs from my 900 going to my mixing desk, any ideas how to route it properly if you don't recomend using it in that way?

without midi, you won't be able to use the 8 outs. I only use the 900 to tweak my sounds and then just dump it back into the MPC.

Maybe that could be the reason,
i have the s950 and have to setup in the 'edit prgrm' mode if i want the sample to be played "note off" or "poly/mono".
In the s950 it's called "one-shot" on or off...

or has it already been solved ? your topic was a few months ago...
