Have any other 2000xl users been given the message "wrong file format!" when trying to load previously saved files. This has happened to me twice now (using a zip drive, so maybe it's got something to do with that). Here's the scenario:
I've got an idea of the beat I wanna make. I spend a lengthy amount of time sampling the perfect sounds for it. I save the sounds in their respective locations on the zip drive (e.g. drums>hi hats for a hi hat, drums>snares for a snare). Then I create a program for the beat and then save "a program and sounds" in a seperate location. I turn the mpc off, come back to start the beat and try loading the program and sounds. Half the sounds load and then i get "wrong file format!". So then I try and load the sounds which wouldn't load separately from the other locations I saved them in (e.g drums>hihats>hihat1) and I get the same message!
Can any one tell me why this happens?
