song mode broken?!

hey guys,

i have a little problem with my song mode. okay i have let's say 10 sequences in my song mode and in the song mode everything works fine (pre-listening). BUT when I convert it to one sequence (with off tracks ignored), after a few bars, everything is gone. and half way throu the song (almost silence), there is just one track running for a few bars?

Song mode covert sux, because it does ignore certian things.
For instance, say your track number 1 in sequence 1 has 100% velocity, then in sequence 4 you set a different velocity, that change will be ignored in the converted sequence. I think this is a similar problem you are having, that song mode is leaving out your muted or 'off tracks'. Why don't NOT select 'off tracks ignored', and do it that way. May still have the same problem, I dunno.

Converting a Song to a Sequence
"The song mode function is convenient when assembling a song. When editing detailed data within
a song that has a complicated structure, it’s easier to assemble the song as 1 sequence and then
edit that sequence. In this type of case, it is a good idea to create the basic structure of the song
using the song mode and then convert that to one sequence. By doing that you can then use the
sequence’s edit function to further edit the song. When converted, the songs complete sequence
will be converted to a newly created sequence.

Note: Sequence settings set in step1 of the song will be applied as the settings of the new
sequence such as track name, track type (Drum or MIDI), MIDI OUT channel assign, MIDI
Program Change Assign, mixer, tuning, tempo etc.. Also, song loop settings will be made
effective by the converted sequence."

When you make your sequences you need to make the tracks in ALL the seq's line up together, ie, track 1 is ALWAYS kick, track 2 is ALWAYS snare, so on and so on. Use that template for ALL of those seq's. Now when you place them in song mode and convert the tracks will all line up and keep the same tracking.
