is it possible?

Two questions folks,
1) Is it possible to download a new OS to a flash card and then up load it to the MPC?

2)will a flash card reader work with the old OS? Some say theirs work fine with the old but they say the 2.0 is has better support.

My problem is I will have a hard time to downloading a new OS onto the zip cause I don't know anyone with a zip drive to do it....can someone offer me help on an alternative way to upload

1) you can load an OS from any form of media be it floppy, zip, mem card, external drive, etc.

2) As your question states, "Some say theirs work fine with the old but they say the 2.0 is has better support." Millage may vary. I think you mean OS 1.20 vs 1.14. Most likely you will be able to pull this off with 1.14 (I upgraded afterwards and noticed no difference).

There has to be some way to get files from your computer to your MPC, if not, you have really been missing out (maybe that is a reason why you are getting the card reader). If for some reason you find the card reader won't work, you could pop in a floppy drive for a minute and load it there.
