No you dont wait you get busy searching 4 da link. Also remember da 2k doesnt read folders either. So if that cd has sounds and they are in folders then its def not gonna read it. You need to make an Akai Image CD so start searching 4 that.

why don't you try MPC Editor so you can just load the virtual pads with the wav files, and make a floppy that will work in the mpc (when it makes the floppy it converts it to .snd format)

Yes, as long as it's a scsi drive. As most would suggest,including myself go to http://www.scsi4samplers.com and pick up a external card reader instead,no moving parts to die.
