CF reader from scsi4samplers on the classic...

Just looking for opinions about the external CF reader that is compatible with the 2000 classic. Just got rid of the 1000 for the 2k but can't stand the idea of going back to zip disks or floppies. Just not into the zip disk click of death, and the 3.5 drive is already acting up after one days use. Just looking to see if it's easy to use, reliable and all that. Thanks.

I have one and love it. If you get a pcima (or whatever its called) adaptor you can use 2 at once. The 2k will only see up to 1 gb.

Also the load/save times are a lot faster, especially if you dump the os executeable on the CF card.

I'm sick of my big bulky external zip drive

It's hard gettin tha parts here in the uk bit will soon order them from the US

Are you fukking serious! Is there anyone else that carries a scsi card reader that is compatible with the classic? Or does anyone know where I can find a list of cases that work with the classic so I can build my own?

try checking ebay for a microtech scsi card reader. i tried getting one off of ebay myself and was constantly being out bid at the last minute. i was eventually able to get a scsi card reader made by SCM for $14. i have not gotten it to work yet and have pretty much given up. if i were you i would try getting a microtech reader that has been proven to work. good luck!
