Quick question

I apologize if someone already answered this, but I didn't know exactly what to search under.

I recently had the 32MB memory upgrade added to my MPC200XL w/zip.
My problem is this:
Everytime I turn it on, it doesn't show that I have the upgrade. I always have to turn it off and then turn it on again for it to register. Is there a way around this?

Are you talking about the memory showing?? I would reseat the memory and try different modules if that is happening, the sticks may not be seatted all the way down properly and the MPC's MB has issues recognizing it.

The first time I turn it on, I can get my sample time to 10.9 sec. When I hit Open Window, it shows only 2MB or whatever the factory set is as being installed. Then I shut it off, turn it back on, and I get 106 sec. sample time with the Open Window showing 32MB installed.
Maybe you're right, but why would it always recognize it the second time I turn it on?
