mpc 2000 and mbox 2 users

alright, ive had an mpc for 2 years now and just got an mbox 2. i can for the love of god figure out how to sync all this up. ive read how to sync them both, but i just wondered if i could find out every piece of equipment in need to get it all together. i only have my pc, mbox2, mpc 2000, and the cords needed. is this all i need to get it together or am i missing something? the help pages ive read all say something about digi 002 but do i need that if i have an mbox? the help would be MUCH MUCH appreciated.
