Saving WAVs as default

I couldn't find this in the manual, but I was wondering if there was a way to set the MPC preferences to save all samples as WAV only not SND?

when you are saving it asks you .wav or .snd

And they are about the same in size anyway. A .snd is the native format for the MPC to save to, and to save to .wav from the default .snd is but one tiny wiggle of the track wheel during the save process (at the "Save as" option).

All that is true, BUT you can't edit a SND file on your PC. I know it's just a wiggle, but I want to be sure I get it right every time. I didn't think you could, but I wanted to check anyways. Thanks gents.
