I just got the 8 outputs on the mpc 2000 classisc, im used to the 2 stereo outs, so can someone tell me if its better to make your drum pattern wiht the 2 outs and then when its done assign the pads to the outs or what, i treid it first doing it with the 8 outs and its kinda confusing cause you cant even hear the metronome click unless the 2 main outs are hooked up , ok if any body has some good workflow with this let me know thanks.

Switch your metronome's output from stereo to 1-8. Turn down the volume and you should be good. For more details check out page 46 in the 2000XL manual. I'm not sure if it's the same as the 2000 classik manual.

I still have to use headphones to preview my samples before assigning them to a pad. Once they're assigned they go out of my 8 outs.
