heya

i am trying to get my mpc to sync with my digi002.
i have gone thru the shift 9 settings, yet when i set it to midi time code or midiclock neither of them seem to allow the mpc to sync up.

i followed the instructions on the digidesign site..
http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?nav ... emid=20871

however when i push play on protools, it doesnt sync and when i push play on the mpc, instead of waiting for the external source to sync up to, it just starts straight away.

any clues?

If you're syncing tempos with protools use Midi beat clock not MTC.

In protools go to Setup--> Midi-->Midi Beat clock

And enable sync for the port that you are sending to the MPC from your Midi interface/output.

***In the sync window on the MPC make sure that the port is set to the right one corresponding to the Midi port at the back.*** ie. If your Midi cable from protools is going into Midi input A on the MPC select port 1 in the sync window.

Hit Play on Protools and the MPC should lock to the incoming clock.
