mpc 2000 computer question

I have the mpc 2000 and I just purchased sonar 3 producer for my computer. I bought the midi interface cable but nothings happening i have know clue what i'm doing help please!

Mpc Manual pages 178 - 181 will put you on the right track.......what ever you select on the mpc you have to select in the program midi setup

Damn my fault.......you have the classic and not the xl my fault.......I use the xl but it should be the same as far as midi is concerned.........check midi/sync mode in your user manual
