dead 2kxl. please help.

i wonder if any one can help me. when i turn on my 2kxl it has the usual 'wait' bubble on the main screen but for much longer, then it goes to the load screen with 'detecting memory' bubble. then back to the 'wait' bubble, and doesn't do anything else.

has anyone experienced this, does anyone know what i can do.

You mean that 'WAIT' message stays on the screen and you can do nothing to remove it ?

Have you tried reinstalling the OS?
Not quite sure if it will help, it's just the first thing I would do in this situation.

could be dodgy ram, did u get this unit 2nd hand really cheap by any chance? or is it newish? my guess is the user b4 you tried to install it and thought they bunged it up.

damn i bought a second hand really cheap! hope i dont have this problem too? goodluck brother. keep us updated.
