hey guys-

please tell me if im wrong - using a portable turntable pt-01 i can use a dual rca to dual 1/4 to the input on the 2kxl.

i can hear the sample but its being overpowered by a very strong static noise - its like 80 percent static and 20 percent sample.

can someone help me trouble shoot this problem?

is it becuz the lack of a phonopreamp? or is there something wrong with the mp?

the guitar center guy said he uses this pt-01 str8 to the mp?

please help - thanks.

well make sure the rcas are going into the record inputs adn not the digital in ands out. that may be your problem, but the pto1 doesn't need a preamp or need to be grounded. so the mp may just be busted.turn the volume down on the table. get new cables adn try again.

well i just got my mixer and cable from musician friend today so it seems like the rca to 1/4 was defective. I just came back from radio shack and it now works properly. thanks. And sorry about wasting forum space.

You don't actually need to find one that accepts 1/4 inch or banana plugs...Go back to radio shack and peep their adapters...I run tons of adapters. 1/4 to 1/8, 1/8 to 1/4, 1/4 to RCA, etc....They have a ton of them there....Don't stress yourself searching for "the right wires," just use adapters man...Hope that helps a bit...PEACE
