wierd...
you have to make sure that all the sequence parameters are exactly the same. usually, when i start a new sequence, i start it by copying an old one, because i'm kind of scatter-brained when it comes to attention to detail. -like setting a pgm change, or selecting the right midi port/channel to send and recieve on...
are you using program changes? try inserting them at the begining of a sequence, to keep the x6 pointed at the right sounds.
also, does the x6 have a slave mode? where the keys n' stuff are disabled, turning it into a tone module? if so, are you using that function? if you are, then you should use programe change messages to keep everything in line. also, slave mode means more programming on your part... but once you get a handle on how the x6 responds to midi, n' stuff it's not so bad. -usually you can get pretty deep into a synth this way, and realize some new stuff you wouldn't have discovered if you had just used the synth as is.
good luck.
