Does anyone know if the 8-outs board that came as standard in the Akai S3000XL is the same as the optional IB-M208P for the MPC 2000XL? I own both of those machines but feel that the 8-outs would get used more in my MPC as they're easier to get to. I took the top off the S3000XL and the 8-outs board looks identical to images I've seen of the IB-M208P.

I took the board out but the idc ribbon cable is too short, I'll need to extend it somehow.

You can buy a longer ide 40 pin female ribbon at any computer store.

Same cable for ide pc hard drivces.
