IOMEGA JAZ DRIVE 1GB...

Hey ppl... i'm new to this so i just want to make a question.

Does the MPC2000 Classic works fine with the IOMEGA JAZ DRIVE 1GB?

I'm ready to buy one of those, so i just wanna make sure it works with the MPC2KClassic.

before you go with jaz, try to find out about click of death, i just lost my entire jaz collection, and to buy a new jaz reader, i would probable lost that jaz reader to, and with that new jaz reader i probably would lost the new jaz disks again.

i,m going now for 4 times 1 GB scsi hard disks in a scsi chain for my samplers.

I bought a used 2K and way more Jaz drives than I need about 8 months ago. I have 2 Jaz drives hooked up to my 2K (one to boot the OS and one for storing/loading files) and one Jaz drive hooked up to my PC for when I edit samples on the PC and want to transfer them to my MPC. No problems so far (knock on wood).

HOWEVER, if and when I can find an external SCSI card reader (or I just say F* it and slide over to a 2kXL or a 4K) I'm going the card reader route. The smaller size, NO MOVING PARTS, and no Iomega CoD concerns just sound like the way to go to me. (I wish I would have read these forums BEFORE I bought my 2k. I would have went with an XL from jump).
