Dont record with the MPC playin back what you record. It makes feedback. If you have it on a mixer, just have the turntable playin. Mute out the MPC. Then you record however loud you want. MPC and SAMPLE SOURCE at same time = wack noise. Just one source at a time

Lower the rec gain all the way down. Then in "sample" mode. turn monitor off. Then bring gain up till its a little past the middle to the right.

Remember to sample as hot as possible so you don't lose bit resolution.

So monitoring causes feedback, right?!

And elmacaco, what do you mean with "hot"?

LOUD!! Without clipping. This is where compressing your sample can help your sound. Keep the valleys high and your peaks below clipping.

get it almost to the top without hittin the right edge, cause sometimes its a lot easier to turn the sound down than it is to turn it up ya diggg?

I usually have my record gain set to about the 12o'clock position or 1 o'clock... I get a decent strong signal from my numark mixer...
