Aside from all jokes, bananas are good but MPC's give a different type of nutrition. Anyhoo, being serious here, you can add an external cd rom drive to read CD Rom sound libraries for the MPC or get an external SCSI hard drive up to 1 GIG in size for the old 2000, I got one. I wouldn't recommend opening it up and modifying anything, it's not very simple inside and not alot of room for stuff. I am sure a laptop harddrive will fit and maybe even a fan, but to make all the connections for it might damage your board if you don't do it right. If you're not a skilled technician then don't bother. Go with external devices {aside from akai 8output card, fx card, flash rom (if you even want to spend on it, most won't pay that type of grip for something like that)}. If you're a baller, you can afford a nice custom paint job at forat.com and be the envy of the forums... or NOT...
