Sampling Sound Issues On 2000XL

I am having a problem while sampling with the 2000XL.

When I am sampling, I cannot hear the full sound, either I only hear selective parts of the vocals, or selective parts of the instrumental - and I want both, because it is just a pick and choose type thing for it.

What is up?

I've tried sampling from multiple sources to make sure it works, and then listening to the sources without the sound of the MPC to make sure it's fine.

It has never done this up until today.

Eh, nevermind, I found the solution myself.

I sent my turntable (a numark pt-01, so it has a pre-amp built in) through my DJ Mixer (previously connected to my technics 1200mkII which was put away for a show I was doing the other night, didn't want to bother lugging it up the stairs for nothing) and plugged the numark into the mixer, sent the mixer to my mpc (oh, hey, that's still mono ).

Basically, for next time (when people search): Pre-amp might be acting up, look into using another pre-amp or a DJ mixer for a pre-amp.
