MPC 2000xl internal card reader/writer problem

i just got me a mpc 2000xl and bought me this CF card reader/writer i saw on here

so i threw it in my mpc hooked it up to the ide slot and set it to master everything was great. the MPC reads the drive and my Compact Flash card. The problem came up when i finished my first beat i went to save my progress and it didn't do nothing my beat was lost . so basically i can load sounds,programs from the CF card that i loaded from the pc but i cant save anything i do on the mpc to the CF card

it be kool if someone can help me as this can be a cheap solution for a card reader/writer for the MPC 2000XL. it was like 26 bucks with shipping

another thing when i try to load a file i just saved it will say "wrong file" and when i load the CF card on my pc nothing i saved is there

edit: im using OS 1.20

I remember one topic not so long ago, one guy asked about the same reader and he got some replies, that it won't work.
It's strange (good news though) that somehow you got it to work in your mpc.
You would have to make a search, cause I can't remember where to find this topic now.

Too bad...it would have been great news for all these users, that didin't get readers in the past and now have to pay silly money for it.
