Hey what up ppls. Now I know this has been covered time and time again but I am so lost in the game one right now. I watched Sparq's video like six times, read the manual until blue in the face, called my ppls up like 3 days in a row, and I still can't figure this ish out
Sorry if this is a long post but I been at this since Monday trying to get it going and I'm about to lose it. I am trying to use reason as a sound module and sequence with the MPC2000. Here is my connections:
Midi Out of my keyboard controller (m-audio keystation49e) going to Midi In port 2 on the MPC
Midi In port 1 on MPC going to Midi Out on audio interface
Midi Out of port A on MPC going to Midi In of audio interface
In shift+midi/sync on MPC, my sync in is set to: In:2 mode/midi clock, mmc/off. My sync out is set to: Out:A mode/midi clock, mmc/off.
When I highlight a MIDI channel (where you select 1A, 2A,etc.) I open window and a Midi Input screen pops up. My Soft Thru is off, Midi Filter is on, and Receive Ch. is All. (I know the rest of the param. don't have anything to do with this issue or maybe?)
Is this correct? Because everytime I try to record another track I double trigger whatever module is on Input 1 on the Midi In device in Reason. This happens no matter what channel the MPC is set on. It even double triggers the melody of the first recorded instrument? Man I am the point I don't even know if I am explaining this right as I am delirious from 4 days no sleep messing with this, but if anyone could PLEASE!!!!! give me a detailed description of what I am doing wrong and how to get this working. I know it is probably something I am connecting wrong but I can't figure out what. To some this may warrant a few chuckles for its simplicity, but signal flow and midi has always been an issue with me. I managed to escape it for while because I used soft synths and samplers, but now that I am leaning towards a hardware setup this has popped back up on me. I got sounds, plugins whatever if anyone can just help me. I also went to the tweakheadz.com link and still couldn't understand a damn thing. Call me stupid or anything, but please someone just give me some assistance so i can get back to tracks and hell even get some damn sleep. I would be most appreciative. I mean at least I tried every option before I just jumped on here asking for help so anyone can't be that mad at me. Not only am I trying to get what is going wrong I am also trying to understand for future purposes as well. Again I am sorry to be coming up here with the same old ish, but I am really lost on this and just want to get it working. Thanks in advanced and I hope someone can help with this problem seriously. And if I get grilled that's cool, if at some point I could get help fixing this. Thanks again. Peace
