Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hello,
my problem: i made a sequence and it sounds ok, now i want to check it out with a different drum pgm. normaly it's no problem, but with certain pgms the notes automatically change from say pad a7 to b12 (just made that up). how can i fix that?
the pgms which i sampled/chopped directly on my mpc usually are no problem, but the ones i chopped on the pc and uploaded one by one directly onto pads in mpc, those will cause me problems. can anybody give me help/a read/earlier thread?
thanks alot!

Go into step edit and view all notes, and see if you have pgm changes in there where there somewhere.

We've been kinda having the same prob. @ the studio where I get busy @ but the mpc keeps sending out a midi change to whatever vst we use in sonar changing the instrument. Major pain in the ass especially if you did not remember what instrument you used the first time around. It does this before we even have a chace to rec. so the step edit trick wouldn't work. Any sugestions on how we can fix this sitiation.

Step edit with timing off, and on the appropriate midi track is all I can think of.
