Ive finally arrived in card reader world

hi folks!

So my cardreader arrived today , this one :

I followed the instructions on how to install a cardreader , but the mpc doesn't recognize it..it only says "no floppy device"

what the heck?

I got a mpc 2000 xl , os is the newest 1.2 , cf card is a 1 gb hama formatted with FAT on my PC...

i reallt dont know what is going on , the power light goes on when I start the mpc up and there is a cf card in the slot so i guess it ain't nothing wrong with the power..

did I get ripped off?

maybe can lampdog help? I think he is using the same reader...

ps : i also tried the two different jumper settings , nothing helped :/

another thing I just found out :

I had put some snd. files on the cf card , after starting the mpc and seeing that it doesnt recognize the reader i put the cf card back into the reader of my PC , and look at that : the test files were erased... ???????

whats happening?

hey i just installed a card reader yesterday and had the same problem at first, but then i upgraded my os and it worked fine// maybe try re installing the os?

i hope it works out for you. having the cardreader is like getting a brand new machine! totally awesome..

yeah I know dude!

did u upgrade on os 1.2 ? I'm gonna try reinstalling it , could've come up ith that ides by myself I guess

what kind of cardreader didi you buy? also the addonics?

you are talking about: os 1.2

but what of Operating System is this, sorry I'm not so familiar whith this MPC stuff but try to help to fix your Addonics card reader problem.
