Recording samples just stops. Any advice

I was recording a piano melody from vinyl today to mutilate, and after about 3-4 seconds it stopped recording and popped up the "name this sound" window. I bought the MPC with maxed memory, so I assume I can record longer, but is there any way to adjust the recording time, or check if the sample memory is full. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i really dont wanna say this but if you downloaded the manual and read the section on sampling you would know that by default, the record time is short.

But in the record screen if you scroll to lenth...... you can change the time alloted to sampling.

try that, and download the manual ok bro.
