Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By alan623671 Mon Jul 09, 2007 10:30 pm
ive connected the 8 outputs of my 2000xl to the 8 inputs of a yamaha aw4416 multi track mixer, and therefore get the sounds playing out through the mixer by setting individual outputs to the drum pads.

however i cant hear anything when in the 'trim' mode, and cant seem to find anyway to identify the audio output of this section which leads me to believe the output of 'trim' is through stereo L/R.

if there is anyway to fix this problem i would greatly appreciate any assistance, because if there isn't anyway to alter this, i wil have to continuously remove and connect cables in between editing and recording, and i would have thought that someone would have thought of this problem when making the mpc.

cheers in advance, alan

i dont think there is. why not just use your master outs as output 1/2, and bus everything else to there own outputs. or monitor from the headphone outs.

8 outs are individual outs for "outboard" processing.

So when you "playback" you get the 8 out routing, not internally, as in "not" trim mode, it's designed like that, understand the design and keep flowing.

Maybe hookup the mainouts for trim mode monitoring, or use headphones, your choice.
