MPC 2000 Floppy question! Plz Help

Whats up guys I am new to the mpc 2000 i've messed around with the 2000xl but it had zip and now I own my own mpc 2000 and it has floppy without the upgraded ram. I have a question about that thoe, First of all I dont need anymore ram or the zip because I dont use much sampling time I dont sample a lot of stuff into the mp like big loops I jus chop peices into my pc and send them back to the mpc. but now I have ab bunch of drums that I have collected over the years and I need to put them on floppy but do I need to have them on multiple floppys plus my prgm. files on floppy to such as my beats made on the mp? I know sum of u wont get it but sum might but how would I go about having all my sounds and my beats on floppy's I know im goin to have a lot of floppys but I dont mind cause I already have a bunch now anyways from my old sampler but now I need to know what to do with all of my blank floppys far as putting drums and samples on em and having them for later to load in the mp aftter I make a beat on the mp???? I know It probably dosent sound right but u know what im getting at?

This is what I do...I save the drums/samples in .wav format off the computer onto floppys using the computer then just load them into my mpc

As you know most Floppies are at 1.44MB. This sounds small, and in some respects it is. But with time, and by your style as mentioned..(chopping small). you should be able to fit ONE whole beat onto ONE floppy. This includes Samples, Drums, and PRGMs. At times you might have to re-sample, or chop smaller, if worse comes to worse, you can use multiple floppies for ONE song. ...

As far as having ALL your Drums on One floppy...it kinda of depends on HOW MANY sounds you have. ... What i do, is usually categorize different drum kits. I have my gritty drums, 12 bit, with warm empty space, on one disk.
I have my new age, effects proccessed drums on another... and so on.

Its possible to get around the disk space. Just takes time, and patience.

Thanx guys for the rplys but yea I see what u mean about saving the drums onto the floppys cause I have a bunch of blank ones now... AN andother thing I do have to load the floopys (DRUMKITS) I used in the beat after I load the program right?

I planned on using Mpc Editor for drum breaks and samples but like drumkits and things like dat I was just going to add them to a floppy and then let the mpc make the prg. file for me....But Will I need to use a hole bunch of floppys for drums samples and my beats? If so I dont mind I jus wanted to know?

I guess it depends kid. I Usually fit A WHOLE BEAT on ONE DISK...
this includes... About 4 kicks, 3 snares, shakers, hats, toms, and samples....

Its all about how you chop. and sample.

Using multiple disks isnt bad, just need to organize ish.
