MCD Reader and SD Ram

Hello

Another Newbie here. I just installed the MCD Reader and it seems to recognise the ATAPI drive but when I try to access it says "Not Ready". Now im using an SD card and I heard that these should be avoided. Does anyone know if this is true? Do I have to buy a Flash Card?

Most people use CF cards and they work instantly. I'd just get that instead. For over 512MB, you best use OS 1.20.

I solved it by switching to CF. Now that I switched to OS 1.2 i will try it again but im not bothered anymore as the Card works fine. Thanks all.

yep go CF i had issues using an SD card also.

Does OS 1.20 add the possibility of reading more than 32 mb of ram?

I use a CF (128mb) and it works great. I got the MCD off VST.

No the 2000/xl only lets you use a maximum of 32mb of ram regardless of the os.

And regardless of the CF card size. They are unrelated.
