Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I start on sequence 99. I use sequence 99 and only sequence 99. The other sequences are inferior, squirming with hidden envy over 99's obvious supremacy. 99 rules the mpc kingdom much like a lord over his peasants.

Most hits are recorded on sequence 99. There's a big article on this in The Source, which as we all know is second only to Fox News for fair, unbiased coverage of the political landscape. To quote:

"Sequence 99's stature was first recognized in pre-revolutionary France, when Marie Antoinette became known for her ill use of filtered snares which she flipped exclusively on that sequence. Since then producers ranging from Duke Ellington to Kanye West have adopted the technique. Many modern producers simply have their machines customed- rigged to include only sequence 99, believing that the additional, unnecessary sequences only taint the machine. Dr. Dre has been known to immediately throw out of the studio anyone whose track is done on a sequence other than 99.

Why such an affinity for sequence 99 in the hip-hop community? Is it voodoo, or science? The debate continues to rage, but with so many pros getting on board, one must assume that the emporer is, in fact, wearing clothes.

"I don't question why it works," said Dr. Dre recently. "I just roll with it."

Maybe you should, too.

Yes... I concur... Seq 99 is hotter. It's been proven that because of where it resides in memory that it is better able to take advantage of unused recources within the machine. Quantize just "feels' better coming off of seq 99. Who needs anything else?

Chain the different sequences in song mode in the order you want and it plays them in that order, it doesn't matter what outputs you use, it plays the sequences in the order you set it to play on...
