MPC 2000 connection problem

Yo what, I have a MPC 2000 and i am trying to synch with REASON 3.0 to use for my drums but i cannot get Reason and the MPC to talk to each other. I have my keyboard connected USB and My MPC hooked up to my M-AUDIO interface with Midi out going to Midi in on MPC & Midi out MPC to Midi in on Interface but still nothing. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Now i'm not exact;y sure what the correct settings should the MPC for midi synch either.

go to midi / sync (shift + 9) go to the sync out, select the midi out your using, mode is midi time code, frame rate should be 30 and send mmc: on.

don't know bout reason but set the input to receive midi time code. the mpc should be the master and the software the slave.

What if i have my Keyboard already hooked to Reason? Does that make a difference in settings.

I would run the keyboard into the mpc via midi input which should not need any setup and should give you instant results.
