mpc and reason question (quantizing)

I have the mpc 2000xl and I have my mpc working with reason. I have it hooked up where I can triiger the drum sounds on reason through the pads. I clicked on options in reason and clicked on midi clock sync and I pressed play and record on the mpc and started recording but afterwards I tried to quantize it on the mpc and it didnt work. I couldnt quantize it in reason because it wasnt recording into reason it was only recording in on the mpc. But when I tried to quantize it on the mpc nothing happened it never quantized.Can anyone help me on this. Thanks

What exactly did you try to record ? audio or midi notes ?

it was midi. I was using reason with my mpc. I was basically controlling reason with my mpc and I want to know how to quantize my music in reaon while using the mpc because when I use the mpc to controll reason the quantize in reason doesnt work.
