problems with SCSI (PLEASE HELP)

I got a new zipdrive with the SCSI connection.

everytime i do ANYTHING relating to memory (load,save,format ect..) it doesnt seem to be recognizing the scsi.


"WAIT...." i tried waiting it out but nothing ever happens.


PLEASE HELP I'm eager to actually save my music and get started on my projects.

does the zip drive have the termination switches on the back? m on the mpc is it set to scsi id 5 or 6? turn the wheel when it says wait. i did that and it worked on mine. aight let us know. peace

the drive doesnt have the switches on the back(possibly i have the wrong drive).

though im pretty sure i have the right one..

When ever the drive is plugged into the mpc as soon as i turn then power on it says "detecting memory" and of course it never "detects it" the screen never changes.

and when I try to set it to scsi 5 or 6 the "wait.." screen never clears.

it goes from 5-7

ive had this machine for about a year now(i got it off ebay) and i never had the instruction manual for the most part i know what Im doing(as far as the music goes) this situation is just extremely frusterating because im ready take my shit to the next level and i cant because of obvious memory problems.
