SCSI hard disk and 2000xl

Yo everyone
What is maximum hard disk size for mpc2000xl?
Can I use bigger disk and format it to smaller partitions??

Some say 9 is the max (Like i use), some say 18 and some say 26Gb.
Yes you can partition them but I think it's about a gig a partition.
Also using a different OS seems to have a play in this also.
