Sounds turn to static?

All of my sounds turn to complete static after about 2 mins of playing aound with them? I dont understand why it keeps doing this, anyone know what it might be?

RAM chips coming loose?

Open up your mpc and push them lightly to see if they are in place.

All I can think of, really...

Well, I dont know what RAM chips are and where they are inside the machine, so what would I be looking for if I open this thing up?

I called akai and they told me that it was my OS disk, they sent me a new one and it did nothing, so obviously thats not the problem.

RAM or something else is overheating after 2 minutes, causing your MPC to malfunction. Check you ventilation ins that they are free of dust or dirt.
