every time i sample some shit from a record that isnt a drum hit or some thing the 'trim' section has no wave image of the sound..

it makes editing really gay some times

Turn up the 'rec' knob until you see some movement on the sampling screen.

Get it as high as possible without hitting the right hand side and you're off.
