MPC2000XL SCSI

Hi,

I have an xl and never used a SCSI zip drive. I installed a card reader in mine.

Now I bought another one for a friend of mine with just a floppy drive. He has an old SCSI zip drive lying around. Will this work just like that or are there any issues with certain zip drives? Just a quick question cause I'm bringing the xl over to his place tonight and we're gonna get busy. Would be a pity if we can't save...

you just need to make sure you have the right cable. the zip has db25 but the xl has a 50pin. most thrift stores sell these for around $1.00. im fortunate to live right next to 5 thrift stores and one has 5 storage bins full of cables. but other than that just set the scsi channel on the drive to 5 and term on. should load right up.

Thanks man...I have the right cable...Hell, I have every scsi cable available cause I raided the old computer storage at work...

I just wanna show up at my friends house with the mpc and the right cables and all that and be sure everything works...
