Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I just got the MPC2000 for Christmas and I love it! I know how to do the basics but i wanted to know how to chop up a sample and put each part of the sample on its own pad so the sample can be chop like 8 times on 1 beat. and i also would like to ask how do you assign pads so they can play out of the assignable 8 outputs. Thank you in advance for any help.

If u want 8 chops u are going to have to make 8 copies of that sample. U cant chop into zones on the mpc2000 u have to go back to the sample each time and get the chop you want.

Go to the mixer screen in the mpc2000 to change the ST to whatever output you are trying to send it out of (1/2 3/4.....)

If you dan't have the manual yet:
http://www.forat.com/Downloads/MPC2000E.zip

To chop you can use znEDIT > set the start/end points > PLAY X to ZONE > EDIT > Zone to New Sample

When setting start/end points use the digitwheel to move faster.
