just woundering how u guys do it. when i make a beat(seq) on the 2kxl i was woundering is there a way to split it up example, snare, kick, bass, sample etc. so that u can then master it with reverb, decay etc. i have pro tools just wanting to no some ideas to give it that pro sound, thanks.

No equipment will give you 'that pro sound' if you don't know how to use it. It doesn't come down to writing it down, I'm sure that it comes with practice, reading articles etc. nothing else. I mean, there are probably lots of ideas laying around on this board for examlpe - do a search and read, that's how we all learn : )
About your question - of course you can split each sound and record it separately + tweak to your taste. Depends if you have 8 outs installed or not (much faster with it of course).
Make a search about it as well - it's been explained before I'm sure.

make sure you layer your kicks and snares I mean If you use High quility sounding drums and sounds it will sound hot with out a shit load of plug in.

Like sample Dr Dres Drums form 30 comthing and you see how clean they come out.....

just make sure each sample or drum or inst has its own track. like dont put your kick and snare on the same track. the more you have it broke down the more control you have over a finall mix. remember you have 64 tracks to work with. so dont be shy with the next track button. and if you find yourself running out of tracks..... buy a mpc4000!

+1 - i heard that...

just keep at it man... recording all your sounds on separate tracks is key if you want to tweak individual elements later. 'that pro sound' is entirely subjective... just keep bangin away and experimenting.
