Was I Cheated?? 2000XL

I got my XL after waiting for a long time. The person said i had to boot up the os from a floppy because it was in japanese. I got it, turned it on, and there where tons of lines going both horizontally and vertically, and i couldn't read what it said on the screen. I tried booting OS, but nothing. Is it a screen problem, or is it busted??

Unless you purchased a unit that was supposed top have a bad display, you should contact the seller.

it didn't say anything about a bad screen so i'm either gonna:

1. return it
2. ask for him to take off the amount for a new screen through paypal
3. sell it to guitar center

Fix it yourself it's not hard it's easy.

IMO, you have two options.. RESELL IT to someone on the bay or fix the screen..

alright thanks for the advice. The guy said there was a return policy. And since he didn't even say anything about a broken screen, he better...

you're better off having him reducing the cost of the screen. You will have to pay shipping to send it back and that will be like $25-$30. If thats the only thing wrong with the MPC, I would keep it and fix it, at the sellers expense. How much did you pay for it? if you paid more than 300, get your money back.

also, I only heard of a 2k needing a boot disk. Does it say MPC2000xl on the box???

i bought it for $550, if he doesn't take $200 off for the screen, i will probably return it.
