Card Readers guaranteed to work on MPC2000xl ???

hey

so is this model the one that is defintely going to work with the original mpc2000xl?

i got a cheaper card reader off someone, i think this is it:

but it didnt work...

the 75dollar one advertised on this board works for real?
is it just external though?
if so, it needs an external power supply?
i'm in europe, so if i got one of these from the usa, i would have voltage problems?

Hey is there sticky on this topic yet? I got the $75 card reader.
1. If you live within the states there is no need for an adapter. Europe maybe so.
2. Works with 2000 Classic and 3000. No word on 2000XL yet. Contact 950skweezyotitties for more leads on the 2000XL compatibility.
3. You will need a PCMCIA adapter ($5 and up) and CF card (750MB and up? check your MPC's manual)
4, Ships very fast!

I have a Classic 2K will do a review soon.

finding an internal that is compatible is all but over. so just buy from vst. it comes with everything you need to install it and a cf card with a kit on it too.

Yep, just get one from VST. I tried buying one from another place that was cheaper but it did not work. I had to pay for shipping return and then a 15% restocking fee. I ended up wasting money. I should have ordered from VST first.

The unit from VST is black and it WILL WORK!!!!! VST also includes a 2 GB CF card with the MPC 2000, 2000XL and 3000 sound libraries on it.
