Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

my zip drive died on me so now im recording off my mixers outputs to the computers microphone jack. when im recording onto the computer theres a bzzzz type noise that i cant get rid of. everythings plugged into surge protectors so i dont know whats up. anybody know how i can kill the noise?

cables, why dont you sample into your mpc? But yeah cables are mostly likely your problem

Either run off computer battery when recording OR acquire a ground-lift prong for your computers power adapter.

damn man good looking out i was trying all kinds of shit and i had the ground lifts i bought sitting around for a few days..turns out it was actually the computers monitor that was causing the terrible humm, i fixed the monitors power chord with one of the ground lifts and shit is cleean now man thanks again.
